  So the summer holidays have come to an end and September beckons. Children up and down the country are returning to school in new, neatly pressed uniforms, excited to start a new term. Parents from north and south, sit down enjoy a hot coffee in peace for the first time in what seems like months! Seashore No4's Favourite Beach.

  Thurstaston Beach is situated on the south side of the Wirral Peninsular and adjacent to Thurstaston Common which is a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), and a local nature reserve. Thurstaston Beach is a long, (and at high tide),  sandy beach along side the tidal river Dee. It affords beautiful views across to North Wales and out to the mouth of the river estuary. It is little known about, except by locals, who love the destination: but you can often go there and it is deserted, giving one the feeling of peace and serenity.
